Chief Scientific Officer
Our Client is a well-funded start-up with water tight, protected IP and is poised for rapid growth.
They are seeking a proven CTO with experience in polymer chemistry to drive the R&D of the business and help with the commercialisation of their revolutionary polymer technology by providing leadership, experience and guidance to the scientific research team.
The technology has taken off, the market sees the potential and it is now time to commercialise. Working closely with the GM of operations you will help demonstrate the effectiveness of the process and work to open up further applications in line with the strategic goals of the company whilst having the freedom to suggest other avenues for commercial opportunity.
This is a hands-on role and you will directly supervise and teach the team of research chemists in the lab. As a part of the leadership team you will be responsible for setting goals, distributing work and ensuring what needs to get done is done on time and backed up with impeccable science
You will have full responsibility to take commercial research objectives and turn them into specific research tasks.
You will have demonstrable experience in a similar role with proven results. My client does not necessarily need you to have a PhD but you will have studied to masters level in Chemistry and ideally have experience with polymer technology. You must be hardworking, creative and possess the ability to effectively lead a commercial R&D function.

Clinical Product Specialist – Assistive Technology

This is a new role within the organisation and the successful candidate will play a vital part in building strong relationships with wheelchair and seating assessors to enable their clients to achieve the best possible solution for their needs.
You will work internally within the business to lift the overall level of clinical understanding within the organisation, increase product knowledge and train staff to have strong product knowledge for the benefit off their customers.
The role will also be responsible for working alongside the sales and marketing teams to build clinical understanding of the company’s products with core customers at a consistent level throughout New Zealand.
To be successful in this role you must be truly customer focused with a strong interest in the advancement of assistive technology, experienced and confident enough in your knowledge to present at conferences and one on one.
You will be a fantastic listener with excellent phone manner, possess extremely strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to work independently.
